SAMPLE TIER II CLASS PROFILE
STEP 1: Initially, the instructor could construct a class profile in the following format. In this abbreviated example (without all Career Competencies for Tier II), the instructor documents the results from the various discovery tools. Listed below are elements that require attention. A profile could be developed using strengths and weaknesses as well. The next step, which you will see on the next page, includes a sorting of these results.

SAMPLE TIER II CLASS PROFILE (Abbreviated)
STEP 2: Using Excel, highlight each section and sort the information as in the example below. As you can see, there are some repeated elements. This is what your total class profile – and therefore your lesson plans – will be based on.
STEP 3: Now it’s time to pull the information from above and begin lesson planning. What have you learned about your future lesson plans? Your learners will spend more time on these subjects. For example, when planning employer engagement activities, you will want to bring in someone from the sales and marketing field because the majority of learners selected that career in their top five. Also, the majority of your learners need assistance in decimals and fractions and in completing a job application.
